Susan Nordmeyer is a well-known leader and a pioneer in the fields of child custody issues, mediation and domestic violence within the Family Courts. For over twenty years Susan has been committed to the principle that the judicial system itself provide an opportunity for the voices of children, mothers and fathers to be heard and that it provide for the best interest of the families it serves. Susan began her career in the courts as a child custody mediator. She has mediated hundreds of cases, and in many of these cases she was called to testify before a judge as an expert witness on behalf of children. Susan is a well-known trainer of mental health professionals, attorneys and judges on the subject of divorce, child custody, domestic violence and has extensive public speaking experience on these subjects as well. She has led committees that drafted the laws which currently govern how child custody mediation, investigations and domestic violence matters are conducted within California courts. Her contribution to this field includes professional training videos and curriculums on subjects relevant to her profession. She has been recognized for her service to families and the profession throughout the state of California.
